Quicksilver age of ultron5/20/2023 ![]() Johnson: Because it's so early on, I'm just more of a civilian, really. Do you eventually transition into something like that towards the end of the movie? Do you have something he wears that can hold up to that kind of speed? Moving that fast, I feel like more fabric could get in the way. Quicksilver's Age of Ultron Look Question: In the comics, Quicksilver has quite a distinctive costume he wears. It's like, I don't get very competitive or find it awkward or anything. So I said hello - you know, nice to see him again - I said how funny it was. It's funny, I bumped into him at Comic-Con way back before this even started, and they had all the X-Men guys there and some of the other actors. Question: Have you talked to the other Quicksilver? Johnson: Yeah, Evans Peters. Then, when we did some stuff on the road and they shot, like, 120 frames per second, they were on a truck and driving on sprint for a hundred meters - the more kind of crazy ducking and diving - and when they sped that up, it had a lot more of a really interesting to it. So when you played it back, it was just like, everything looked too clean and neat. But what it did - it didn't really give a sense that anything was really traveling. They put it on an incline, and I ran on that. We did a lot of testing with - the first time we did a running test, I was on what was essentially a running machine, but it was a huge lorry-sized rig, but it was something they sped up - and it was a great big running machine they had me on, with a harness green screen. That's the great thing with these things, with new powers and things like that you can really play with that sort of stuff. ![]() Like I said, that's another thing - it's experimental, really. ![]() Right now, I think they're gonna play around with maybe getting into "Quicksilver Time," which would be my point of view. was Ultimates, because I think that kind of ties in more with what they've been doing recently with The Avengers. He's very protective of in a kind of physical way and her in a more psychological way. Also that sort of mother-and-father kind of figure. what he's really like, and kind of get to the depths of him. Obviously the character sort of jumps in and out of different universes, being in the mutant world and all that, which obviously we don't embrace because of that being with Fox., But yeah, I take bits and pieces that have been done in comic books to kind of get a sense of Pietro as a character. Whedon Talks Quicksilver and Scarlet Witch's Origin Quicksilver 101 Question: How much comic-book reading did you do in your research? Johnson: Yeah, yeah, some of the original stuff, sort of a mixture of things. Hopefully it will continue on that route. But at the end of it, you always want what's best. They're a studio that really cares about their characters and have real creative input. I'd like to think they'll keep it there - and the Marvel guys totally understand when it comes to their characters. So I'm glad that we're doing it, but like I said, they might screen it and go, "What are they saying?" So you never really know. to have the white-silver hair, to look like the character, and the other one was embrace the Eastern European roots.
